Well,

Given the time, I think I'm as finished as I'm going to be with my Halloween 2002 image. There are loads of more stuff I want to do, but time is running out.

I've named the image "Eternal Dark" because it seems to sum up the meaning of the "curse of the vampire". They can live forever, but only in darkness (litteral and figurative):

Eternal Dark is also the translation of the two Kanji symbols tatooed to her cheek. The top means "Eternal", and the bottom means "Dark". For those interested, you can go here to get graphics of different Kanji symbols, along with their meanings:

or, just go to the front page and do a "search" for the word you are looking for:

It looks like a good model its a worrying face for sure :) but the flat lighting is spoiling it I think :hmm:

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It's allways discouraging to have your work drop into a cess pool of echoing silence.

As for the lighting, I was going for a soft, moonlit/graveyard general lighting effect. I guess I should have planted a light source near by, like a torch or lantern, so I would have had an excuse for some nice harsh shadows.

Coincidently my 18 year old daughter just saw the image and had this to say about it.
You fixed the kanji! My major complaints on the image would be that

1) the background makes it too hard to see her hair
2) The skin looks all shrivled. Looks more like a paper bag than skin
3) The eyes are too mushed, and uneven
4) eyebrows look spraypainted on *SIGH* Kids ! They give no respect now a days.

Well, of course she's right, I wish I had thought to turn to her for a critique prior to posting. Maybe next year I'll start earlier and make a better image.
