Whaddaya like it?
Does the red outlines look bad? Im not sure... Gimme your comments!
02-22-2002, 01:13 AM
damn it. how hard can it be to select the right red? :)
02-22-2002, 01:28 AM
ughm...I personally would combine red only with black...
if it's gray, then well, use black outlines or I dunno...
but it's just personal preference

okey... lets try black (dark grey)... I threw in my Lester head-model to get some proportions for ya.

i like it. what if he gets hit in the head? he might stab his own head!
tweak the armor so it is more protective of his neck area.

LOL he really can stab his own head :D
Btw, I personally find it better with the black outlines :)
But best decision could be made only after we see the whole body and armour and the whole colour scheme you want.

Looking nice, I like the small details in the armor.

hey man - looking cool. I actually really liked the red. But the black looks cool too. Very Diablo - did you play those games?
Nice work. Are you going to make the rest of the armour?

Hey, that's some killer armor! I like both color schemes.
What wgeddes is talking about is a Gorget, which traditionally, isn't directly attached to the chest plate(s) of armor. Example: http://www.mackenziesmith.com/Our_Products/Plate_Armor/Gorgets/Fantasy_Gorget/fantasy_gorget.html
BTW, what time period is this?
Anyway, looking forward to seeing more.
P.S. This is actually my first post, I've been hanging around the forums for about a week now, but only registered just now, so, expect to see some of my work in the future...

I like red aswell. Maybe you should try out a darker
blood red colour.... and keep the rivets a metal colour?
nice work aye

Thanks for all the comments!
time period? a few days ago :) hehe.. on my paper.. no real inspiration... only looked at some final fantasy 7 sketches...
No i dont play diablo... but i like the estethics of it!
about the horns on his shoulderplates. i dont think this skilled weapon master will have any problems with avoiding to stab himself with them... they are also quite good protection.
but they might be in the way of his sight some times
ill see what i can do about them
no leigh, you are not the only girl in this forum :) there is ether and cloud too :) So youd better change that signature :)
that makes three... well better than none :)
god im tired... been partying with my new bosses all night :) better get some sleep.

Just taking a quick gander at the image and it kinda reminds me of Patrick Stewart from Star Trek the Next Generation fame.
It could be just me though.
Very nice
I think model of armor could be more detailed but I'm crazy about detail...
Head is good... !
Nice work... Show whole .....

I would only remind you to make sure you use different textures on different plates for the final render. But it looks damn fine.
