Ah, that looks much better already!
Maybe you could try putting it in a showroom/motorshow like environment?

thanks guys :)
i think it's almost finished now, maybe a few changes to make the car less 'round'.

Seeeeriously sweet! Looks and feels right!

Two things...
1) Potential problem : the glass seems too opaque to me. Maybe it's just the reflection throwing me off tho...
2) Any chance you could fit it with larger rims? Or are you going for 100% realistic stock model? It's just that, IMHO, the stock SLK always looked a weeeee bit too much like a Matchbox car... :) :)

cheers

I agree with all the comments, the glass does look a bit opaque and the environment map definatly needs more detail in it, its giving a very flat look to the paintwork.

Great work on the car model, very realistic image. Well done.

thanx !!

yeah i tried to use as little polygons as possible.

the car without the wheels is only 4948 polies.
total poly count (everything included) is 11.000.

that thing would fit gta3 nicely, you made it in LW right? then it would be possible too

i atually applied at Rockstar, they wouldn't hire me because they stated that my drawing skills weren't good enough................................

personally i think that's a really crappy excuse :) !!!!!

well that what were they thinking, those gta standard cars are crap! but it's not a problem if you want (or i want  ) to get that car in gta3, actually i've done couple cars with my friend for it
check gta3forums (http://www.gta3forums.com) for more, it's the main place where ppl show their gta mods.. gta3 modding scene could use some more good modelers, if you're interested that is :p
