I've seen this blast animation at the maxwell forums, it's done with maya... is there anything like this for c4d? What i like the most is the diversity in shapes.

thanks.

We're _slowly_ working on something like that for C4D, Cinema 4Detonate. At this point I can only say it wont be as overpriced as BlastCode.
Realworld blast is not easy task, but with TP (turn mesh's polys to particles and add forces) things can be done.

you could try that with thinkingParticles & the pFragment node.

You, sir, owe it to us (the weirdos who want to blow stuff up in 3d) to post announcements in here when you have something like that in development!

Start a new thread! Build some hype! Show us screenshots of it in progress! If it is going to cost less than blast code, then we will love you forever!

We should have a sticky thread called "4D Buzz" or something where all the hot C4D plugin news goes.:) Seems like there's some news on something in every third thread here.

It sure does, doesn't it? I look through almost every thread because of it.

Hold your horses people :)
We're working on 4Detonate only when free from other duties (which means random weekends or nights). I'm definitely not coder by nature and the code-wizard is busy next weeks doing his magic with XSI.
I keep people updated when there is more to inform.

4Detonate melts Dynamics, TP, deformers and 'Ingredient X' together and gives chance for collision detection and real dynamics on C4D basic deformers (Explosion and ExplosionFX). That part is done, but the core of plug, material strength and shatter simulation, gives us hard time. Also the collision detections can only be as accurate as Cinema's Dynamics.

If our clients just left us in peace, the thingie might see the daylight before you can spell 'R10', but at the moment I cant give guarantees of anything.

don't tempt us so

I have an exploding car that could do with collisions.

I guess I'll have to wait

Thanks for the info hilt, both here and in the PM. Just to let you know, it sounds like you have quite a few people lined up ready to buy, if that helps strengthen your resolve! By all means take your time to do it right, because the rest of us need time for our wallets to recoup from the 9.5 update/ DPIT/FR2/Maxwell Render/etc purchases that have demanded our money recently!

Can't wait to hear more from you guys!
