View Full Version : UserData on a Camera - Found in strange place

I just added UserData fields on a CameraObject and got a little confused...
Usually any UserData are found under "Object Properties" in its xpresso node.
But these are to be found under "Depth Of Field" when using a Camera.

Is this a bug or is it any special reason (and possible pitfall) for this?

I don't think this is by design. Try adding user data to an Extrude nurbs or any of the nurbs objects and you will find that it pops up in the caps and rounding menu, that doesn't make any sense. Hopefully this has been changed in R9.5.

I can't reproduce it here, seems to work fine in 9.102 and 9.5.

can you provide a screenshot?

any chance that you have accidently selected the Depth AND UserData tabs.

No. The UserData shows correct in AM. It is when I want to use those ports in xpresso
they turn up under "DepthOf Field" dropdown.

Anyway, it works with no problems and maybe only have to be reconnected in 9.5.

ah I see, this has been changed for 9.5. In 9.5 have an extra sub-menu for userdata.
look at the attached picture.
