Noristu 08-08-2005, 11:16 AM Working on a new character called The Madam. Not done any work for some time and it feels good to be modeling again.
Crits please guys, i'm aiming for around 4k tris for this one. I'm trying to pay attention to loops for smooth animation purposes, as my previous attempts always seem to deform quite badly.

that's.... unpleasant.
the idea of her i mean, not the model, the model is great, and i see you're doing that crazy "patch" modeling stuff, very cool,
the only thing i could say for now is that if a woman is that...er, large, then there isn't going to be much, if any space between her legs, the fat tends buldge out and as it moves away from the hips and knee's and such, kinda like a sausage, not trying to offend anyone by the way, that's just what happens. if you've ever seen an excercise info-mercial you've probably seen them mention getting back the space between your legs, or however they word it, and the fat starts to brush together almost directly below the groin, there's a crude joke about "ridding" a wave in that applies to this.
you might want some more detail in the knee area as well, it doesn't look like it's gonna deform well at all in this form
the double-chin is excellent

Great work so far - she makes a change from the big breasted supermodels we often see around here!What do you have in mind for her costume design? I hope its not skimpy :rolleyes:

Scudz Almighty thanks for the comments, I take your point about the thighs "waving" and will try to modify them to accomodate this. The knee and other joints will be further refined, but thank you for re-enforcing the issue.

cool model, looks uncannily like a chicken with out the head, that aint a crit its kind of extra good! hmmm i think that tight clothes would be excellent. well really cool to model, with flab rolling over a too-tight corset or something.

Shepeiro you are a genius, I was going to have lots of exposed flesh with a harem sort of outfit. But the bulging and straining corset sounds much more fun to me!!! :D

More work done on the head, could probably tweak the back of the head more but will probably give her a long ponytail. Face might get optimized a bit.
The body has had a little work and a test harem outfit, prior to Shepeiro's suggestion.

as everyone else has said euuck!! but great model, how the hell r u gonna do the setup for this?, fat charecters r a bitch to deform properly. do games support bone driven additive morphing?

Technically, its looking good, but the shoulders and chest could use more polys considering how many polys youre using on her head.
Keep it up - although - DONT! STOP NOW!
Seeing that lass finished will be horrid!

Concept is really cool- I'm also wondering about the setup for this. If you are just looking to show it off, you can use a jiggle deformer on the breasts to make them...well...jiggle. If it were to be rigged for a game, I imagine some sort of bone setup with a script to move them as she walks might work, but I'm not much of a rigger.
As for the model, the only thing I see that might be a problem is that there is a little bit of sloppyness around the mouth in terms of edge loops. You picked a hell of a challenge, modelling a character with excess skin hanging everywhere! It might be just the pics, but you may want to clean up that area so it is as many quads as possible.
Other than that, keep it up!:thumbsup: Can't wait to see her finished...

Texturing really sells this one- didn't see if you mentioned it, but what software was used?
The only crit I can offer is the tatoo on the small of the back- it's pretty generic. But other than that, great work!:thumbsup:

dead boy its easy in max, you can attach a bone (where protrudent parts are), and assign a spring controller, you can then get them to move slightly delayed of the rest of the body,
