Climax Group, the world's largest independent video game developer is expanding!!! Climax has an exceptional history, but our future is even more exciting with an impressive roster of newly signed current and next generation product. Our multi award winning studios are now seeking a highly experienced and talented Lead Artist for these impressive titles.

The successful applicant should have at least 4 years industry experience in a similar role within the games and have an excellent knowledge of Maya with at least one published title behind them as a Lead.

You must be able to lead by example and you will be responsible for developing Art Path documents for implementation of the art assets into the game engine. You must be able to quickly assess proprietary tool sets to accurately assess what resources are needed to complete a development cycle. You will be able to prioritize needs in a production environment and be able to train and mentor artists who need support. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with the lead engineer, lead designer, and the producer regarding the game engine, tool chains, engineering and design needs relating to art tasks.

You will have ultimate responsibility to manage the art team for the product through all phases of development. You will have experience in giving artistic criticism in a constructive manner and you will be able to take direction from and work with the Studio Art Director in creating stunning and cohesive visuals for the product.
