View Full Version : Morph Target won't render
MadHatter 10-31-2002, 01:40 AM OK, i have a face and i am using a morph target that is a direct copy with changes made to the mesh but with no added faces.
here's the problem...The morph shows up perfectly in the viewport, but it won't render. It just renders the original version.
anybody know what's causing this?
thanks in advance.

rendering single/first frame? is it the same if you render out the whole animation?

Funny, I just had the same problem about 3 minutes before reading this thread. :)
Same as MadHatter, it's perfect in the viewports, but doesn't render. I can't speak for MadHatter, but rendering all frames, rendering an advanced single frame etc doesn't work for me...
Argh.

Right-Click the Morpher Mod in the stack and make sure you don't have "Off in render" checked by accident.

The classic tip: Try Merge it into a new scene :bounce:

ok, i figured it out...i guess you can't have meshsmooth in the stacks of the morph targets.
i figured it would work since they would still have the same number of faces, but i guess not.
So, i created a reference of my morphing head and then deleted all the meshsmooth and UVW Mapping on the original and added meshsmooth to the reference and it worked perfectly.
anypoop, thanks guys.
later.
