Hi There

The stats are in: Major speed improvements on R9.5.

As expected, and rightly so, R9.5 does not accellerate the Shave part of the rendering as it's rendered totally seperate from Cinema. On both 9.0 and 9.5, the Shave part of the rendering took appr. 1Hour 8min. Hence the improvement is on the part after Shave. But with render times like these, every minute counts, right? I expect that it might have a bigger difference if the "Post" option in Shave isn't switched on, since C4D then adds an additional AA.

I think I should note that my scene doesn't contain area lights (Shave soft shadows don't blend in nicely with Area shadows) so this is a, for a lack of a better term, "core" accelleration.

So here's the stats:

This means that for every 7.5 frames rendered in R9.5 instead of R9.0, an hour is saved. Over 1 minute of animation, this adds up to a staggering 200Hours or appr 8 days. So, if but only for the render speed accelleration, R9.5 is worth an upgrade.
