CGTalk - underlay in Rhino

I am trying to put an underlay or backgroun image into rhino but I do see a way to put a bitman or jpeg file so I can trace it the only things in insert is an illustrator file. Help would be appreciated I've never had to trace so I have no idea where to look

It's under the View Menu.

View -> Background Bitmap -> Place
