CGTalk - Lw9 and 64 bit

i know that LW version 8.5 is the X64 port but is LW9 X64 compatible also ?

sorry if this has been covered before..

and does anyone know when the release dates are for 8.5 and 9 ?

I'd assume that LW9 with come in both flavours, but I haven't seen it specifically mentioned. :shrug:

The siggraph LW 9 demo was the 64bit version.

i got reply from my local nt dealer.

"LW9 is a different product again, and features both 32bit and 64bit core." :cool:

When LightWave 3D 9 is released it will have 32-bit Windows, 64-bit Windows and 32-bit Mac OSX versions (no 64-bit Mac version since OSX isn't fully 64-bit) on the program disc.
