I keep getting runtime error 226 whenever I select Output file format to AVI movie and then click the Settings button.
I can render to Small AVI without any problems, but this seems to be using some kind of custom codec?

Is this a known problem, or am I doing something wrong?
I'm running XL7 on Win98SE

I think at that point C4D enumerates the AVI codecs you have installed. I don't know what could be wrong there that you get the runtime error, but you could try checking what codecs you have installed.

In fact this sounds more like a Windows problem than a C4D problem..

I'm on W2K at the moment, and I can view the codecs via Control Panel / Sounds and Multimedia / Hardware / Video Codecs / Properties.

Not sure if this helps any..

I don't know what caused it, but it was persistent even after rebooting as well. In fact I had to reboot, as I couldn't get past that error message box. It just kept popping up over and over again.
Yesterday I did a scandisk run and defragmented my C-drive. After that it no longer happens!
Strange, but at least it works now :)

I was wrong :annoyed:
It still happens, but only with certain combinations.
When I use output 320x240 and then click the Options button with AVI movie selected it crashes!
Every time :(
