i get the following message on execution of your script:

Error: Cannot find procedure "as_alertv"

doesn't it work on the 4.5 API?

make sure the as_core.mel from the same .zip file is in your scripts directory

this should solve your problem

that's exactly what i did!
maybe i've got to put it in .../4.5/scripts?

thanks anyway, i will try! :)

yeeeeeees, you rule!

i especially love the 'copy/paste translation and rotation' feature, which i have not found in maya yet!

nice script!

well, i don't know if it's possible and i didn't find a way to achieve the following yet:

i want the animation of a keyframed camera to be overtaken by motion path animation at a specific point of time.

i.e. when i copy the translate/rotate values of the first cam at frame 'x' and paste those on a second cam, which i wanted to be controlled by the path later on, the second cam always re-adjusts it's orientation when put onto the path.

it would be great to avoid this behaviour, so that the second camera, though attached to a path, will inherit the orientation of the first cam and use these setting as initial state (frame 1 of the path animation)!

hmmmm ... maybe there's another way, i didn't think of yet. if not, this would be a highly appreciated field of application for your script! :)

yeah ... unfortunately that`s quite a problem ... i`m working on for some time but without any real success

what a pity! :thumbsdow

another nice feature would be the ability to perform camera-cuts and animate those via keyframing.

i know there are scripts for that already out there, but the ones i know are not too comfortable and a function like that, integrated into camSwitcher's UI would make out really nice, i guess.

keep on the good work!

yeah i`m thinking to implement an camera-cuts system inside camSwitcher ... but haven`t much time to work on lately

btw what do you think about the MMB pop menu ... useful ?

But it would only be useful for me if it supported multiple camera nodes.

But it has great functionality.

tkx Dudeman ... i`m trying to remove that limitation ... but i`ts quite dificult to identify a multiple node camera in MEL because has nothing diferent from a single node one ...

i`ll remove the limitation on next release :) (i hope)

re: blending your camera animation between path and kFrame, see if my animStreamBlender works for ya:
page of scrit (http://www.users.on.net/neilandbron)

- animate your kFrames,
- apply belnding construct,
- flip to secondary streams, apply motn path,
- flip to blend state,
- blend between kFrames and motn path animatn over desired number of frames (animate t- and r-Blnd 0-1 blending attribs).

yay! :)

this is one very neat and useful feature! still i'd like to see the possibility of keyframing cameraCuts directly from the switcher panel. anyway, you're on the right way!
