** First Post **

This is a hover tank for the Battlefield 2 mod I am working on. I didnít model it, I only textured. This is my second game model so I am still learning. The first was my Firewarrior I posted a couple weeks ago. This is still rough and I am looking for some feedback on how to make it better. Thanks for looking.

Hey thatís looking good so far. Warhammer40k mod using BF2, awesome. Iím a little confused however why you have four separate textures for one model. Thereís allot of wasted space on those sheets, if you could work on the UVmap so that you use one 1024 texture, this would help with load times, framerate, and space. Right now 4 textures for one game model seems a little excessive.

I'm assuming this is one map, just cut up for showing (they'd fit perfectly in 1 square and only "map" has a palette ;) ).

Excellent work, maybe up the contrast a little bit and/or a sharpen pass. Cheers

Looking real nice. Maybe a bit more panel work to break up the textures smoothness and do something interesting with the satelite dish

As far as the UVs - I was given this model from the modeler with the UVs separate for each item. I believe this is because there will be similar vehicles that can use some of the same maps. I think the next one I will be working on is the same tank but has a different turret. Unfortunately I don't know if this is the real reason or not. I am just a texture artist on this project.

Contrast and Sharpening Ė Sounds like a great idea. I will do that for the next version.

More Panel Work Ė Also sounds great. I think I will also add some more scratches and maybe some dirt around the bottom. It needs a lot more detail if I really want to justify a 1024x1024 for just the Hull. Oh, and the dish, is a lid for the entrance for the turret.It needs some work if it was mistaken for a Dish. There will most likely be a guy in there. Might add a gun he can shoot?

Got a new version. I posted the new pictures at the top of the thread next to the old ones. No big changes just cleaned up.
