Very very nice, I'd say the only thing letting down the realism is the texture on the little toy itself. As shiny as anything is, everything has its own roughness and discrepencies :)
*runs briefly in and out of your portfolio* hehehe aleithiometer

Yeah your right, that's the next bit i'm gong to investigate. I'm using Cinema and couldn't seem to figure out how to add a bump to the material i was using, it didn't seem to have a slot for such.

for the image it looks pretty good to realism and i agree about the shinyness but what version of Cinema 4D r u using? i only use R9 and the bump channel is under 'fog' in the material settings hope to see more updates ;) .

Ack this is an edited double post cause my IE screwed up so it double posted but i can't delete it for some reason so if a mod could thanx ;) .
well ill say its well executed but i dont have anything to compare this to to crit the photoreal part. if you are trying to acheive photoreal stuff you might want to try objects most people will be familair with so people will have something for refrence. either way looks goods.
edit* oh yea i like your works from your online portfolio.

cheers people.
I'm using C9.
Yeah referencing a real object would be a good idea to compare. I'll do that next 8-)
For any C9 users, i used the nukei shader for the toy, i also wanted to apply a bump map indicating the seams etc... but can't find where it is, i know there's a roughness but that does'nt seem to have anywhere to stick a map?
any ideas?
Dave.

Aah ok so ur using a shader ok i just tried out the Nukei shader using a second material with Alpha and Bump on over top of the nukei shader and it works all i did was set a standard noise to the alpha and bump to test it and it has bump with the shader so try that and u should get what u want ;) .
