Title: Dream House
Name: Samir Kharchi
Country: Germany
Software: CINEMA 4D, Photoshop

This is my dream house that I made for an Architectural contest (over at 3d allusions.com).

When I think of a dream house I am thinking of an architecture that integrates into its natural environment, touched by nature through dirt, aging and other particles coming from the shore.

Everything beside the background is 3d. I did some color correction in Photoshop and for that dreamy look (hey, itīs a dream house...).

Comments are very welcome.

Thank you!

Very nice render looks like its a model house a architect might use(I guess that means it fits right with the architecture contest:)) Well I say good luck with your contest:thumbsup:

I really agree with the concept dream house & nature.

Really like the house too.

I have 2 critics:

- The background could be better, the resolution is low too.
- I would put the helicopter to the higher part of the building to avoid danger to break something, wind, etc.

Wish you best luck!

Yes, unfortunately the background is too low in resolution and I donīt have a higher version.
And you are right about the helicopter pad too, it might interfer with the lamp on the left and the winter garden.

Thank you!

very nice rendering and design, it looks like a very peaceful place. agree with the helicopter problem.

i dont know why but the house looks very tiny. I think its the size of the grass. in comparison to that is why it looks so small. other than that, great detail and render

nice

but i agree with blaxx.... 1st glance i thought i was looking at a miniature.
im trying to tell my brain to see it as full scale but that illusion is not working,

the grass might have something to do with it as well as perhaps the size of the bump. perhaps go with a finer bump?
maybe adjusting the camara settings (wider) and position closer could help?

maybe more varied additions of grim/weathering could add to this piece. but. i cant seem to figure where or what

im no GI expert, im wondering if something about the GI can be tweeked to help as well?

my head just wont see it as anything but a small 1/30th scale model. cool none the less, maybe someone can point out whats giving me trouble

maybe cause the house and the backgrond dont quite match so it looks like a toy model in real life I think thats what your brain is doing:shrug:

yes, I guess the scales do not fit perfectly (can also be seen on the dirt, itīs actually too big). But I liked the look, so I decided to leave it as is.

For GI, I havenīt used GI as I am not a big fan of it. I rather do classical lighting with lots of lights. :)

Thanks for your comments!
