what do you think of this painting

It's an oil painting and as reference is used
the famous painting of "Johan Vermeer" the dutch painter.

Just for fun.

the right one is the reference, a picture of the real painting

You did a good job on Vermeer's painting! I like it, there are some small perspective problems, but you have done a great job. Especially in oil paints, I love using oil paints, but I don't have that kind of control yet. How long did it take you? What is the actual size of your painting? And can we see a larger version?

Good effort, my only crit is that the lighting in your version is a tiny bit off - the shadows are darker in the original, especially on the wall and the figure.

Worthwhile exercise IMO too, the value of learning from someone like Vermeer is enormous as he has much to teach. What most CG lacks is an understanding of light, everyone gets so hooked on form and texture that very few pieces show any understanding of light at all - something that artists such as Vermeer and Rembrandt were masters of.

Great oil painting technique BTW :)

Mabay it took about 12 weeks and working on it for 3 or 4 hours
a week.

The painting is 50 cm by 60 cm.

I dont know what the size is of the original painting.

thanks for the comment,
