hi there
im new to modo, but i find it a really amazing piece of software
my question might seem basic but i would really appreciate if someone could waste some time answering me.

i know that there is a weld point option in lightwave (im actually a maya user) that creates an edge between two vertex but i cant find it in modo. can you help me?

another question is - how do i fill a hole in my mesh?

thanks in advance

all the best

1. Geometry | Vertex | Join

2. Press and hold control, look up at where the edges selection used to be, it will be now called boundary. Press this button. It will have selected all holes. Press P.

Sorted :D

Cheers.

you can map this command to a key (or pie menu) vert.join [0] - this will weld all points to the last selected point. or vert.join [1] will weld all points at the average distance.

If you want to find some holes in your mesh hold down the alt key and you'll notice that your edge icon (in modo modes down there between vers and polys) will turn to a 'boundry' icon. Just click that guy and all your holes will be hilighted. You can just hit 'p' to create a poly there.

Hi Phil,

That hole plugging trick is superb....had no idea....is that in the manual? If so, I think it's time for another read!!

So where did you pick that up from Dion? This is the sort of thing I want in a manual!!!
