We all will, one day, filled with unrealised dreams and hopes, and totally unprepared for whatwill be happening at that time.

I did read the posting, and to me it's clear that they met with obstacles that were too big. And, idealistic as they are, a dream that they could not oversee perhaps.

Bhodinut provided us with undispensable tools, (imagine Cinema without SLA) and they will continue to do so. Sad for BT, but perhaps all isn't lost yet. May well be a dip in the enthusiasm.
Must also say that the general "I want" tone from people visiting their forum is far from elegant and encourageing.

i think sometimes people use that forum to sound off their agrievances with the holes in maxons product, rather than anything to do with bhodinut. also as a person whos often used the term "i want" there, it's usually to say, i want to be able to do this cos it's cool and useful... what do you think? ad sometimes it's just to be amusing, als to talk on a straight pro level one to one... "here's a problem i've got, i want this result, is it possible?" if you don't ask you don't get also a lot of bhodinut forums are there for people saying "i want to be able to do this, but i don't know how, help me please.". there's really no nice and polite way of asking. "wouldn't it be great if..." sounds like you're being far too ingraciating and it's the start of a backhanded compliment, or you're picking holes. i guess there's no polite way of asking... but i think that's mostly confined to the suggestions section (which if people were not writing "i want" in there, then they're not wanting or needing whatever they're suggesting) which is exactly what it's there for.

I owe you an apology, and I sincerly mean it. I *really* wasn't referring to you, as you always come with good ideas and try to kindle the fire of creativity.
In fact, I was referring to people who still bomb Bhodinut with demands on SLA etc.

Truly sorry.

hey it's ok... i'm sorry if i sounded overtly agrieved there. i just meant that for me maybe i can't think of a really good way to ask for something.

and i think that for the most part the c4d community there rally behind darf and bhodi, if people are asking for something hey all put in a helping hand, so i guess it's ok. though i agree when poeple come in being all rude about stuff, like "wtf hasn't kaiskai released shades of cell 2 yet.." and then going on some huge rant about something which is free and works well, and oh whatever... which is completely uncalled for and rude beyond belief, but you get dicks on every forum i'm afraid. :hmm:

Glad to see we all get along then!
Hopefully BT went peacefully in his sleep.....no pain....etc.....
I didn't really know him very well! But I know he will be sorely missed....by those who loved him.

The epitaph of the fireworks maker springs to mind:
"He has gone to the only place where his own works are excelled".

Maybe I'm missing something.

I thought BT was the name of a project.. not a person. How did he die if he was a person?

He got a nasty blunt trauma...

OK i'm sorry a bit of sillyness.....Blunt Trauma was a project in development by bhodinut. Its a pity really cos i'm for any kind of third party development for c4d....one of the things the software really lacks (IMHO) is the sheer quantity of third party development as with other well known software. Then again you could argue for quality rather than quantity.

I'm hoping it will not dent bhodinut's enthusiam for continued development for c4d.....as a company like that is a real breath of fresh air in a marketplace full of corporate bish bosh....when peoples pursuits are largely a creative endeavour.

R.I.P BT.....long live bhodinut.:applause:
