Hi all...

I followed a tut that ade me use bones. It went fine and I decided to use them on a personal project.

I did the same actions as the tutorial...but my bones do not move right...it looks like a big unique pieces....If I move the point 01 it moves all the geometry as a rigid piece of wood...

I tried again and again....cannot correct it....is there anything that can bother bones movements?

what I did was, with my geometry selected, Character->Bone Tools.

Create bones. Spiline IK solver (assign to children).

Added a Skin modifier to my geometry and added the bones. Then I modified the Envelopes so that it influence the adiacent bone.

If I move the first point...all move like a piece of wood and do not bend.....

Can you tell me what I did wrong......it worked fine on my tornado tut...

Thank for the Help.

Hal.

It seems that, although you changed the 'influence of the envelopes', they are not correct yet. You could reset the entire skin and set all bone influences to 0. This way you will be sure which bone influences which vertices. At the Display rollout, switch off shaded faces. This way you can clearly see the influenced vertices.
