It seems they upgraded the video architecture and kept everything else. Even supports 32 FSAA. Way more than I will ever need but its interesting to see what that would look like.

Looks nice. But I never buy these cards retail. Always wait for a real deal on ebay. Thats where I got my Quadro FX 4000 for around $500.

wow thats a great deal..

I am pretty happy with my 6800NU bios modded as a quadroFX.. it is about 80-90% as close to a true quadrofx4000. Not bad for 188 dollars :)

I stuck with the AGP FX 4000 mostly because of the NCCH-DL. Its the Intel 875P chipset(which works perfectly with my Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro). Uses the lasted EM64T Xeon Processors, and doesn't require Registered Memory. Probably the biggest thing for me was it had PCI-X and PCI slots as well was ATX size.

I do hope AMD comes out with their 3800+ X2 processors. If the 4200+ are any indication the 3800+ shouldn't be that far behind them in rendering speed and they would make great renderfarm processors.
