"After Screen Actors Guild (http://www.sag.org/) (SAG) members initially approved a proposed Interactive Media Agreement and the SAG National Executive Committee subsequently voted down the new contract, another vote was held to reconsider an agreement between SAG's voice actors and video game companies. Today the union's members voted by a margin of 81.2 percent to 18.8 percent to overwhelmingly approve the agreement.

The new contract, which was jointly negotiated with the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), was approved in June by AFTRA and has already gone into effect for its members. The contract goes into effect for SAG members today (July 29, 2005) and will run through December 31, 2008."
