hey every one,

me and my friend were wondering if it was possible to make a surface's color change depending on the angle of the camera, so we could make an effect like chrome illusion paint on cars.

oh yea, this is in max 4.2

Yup, you can.... I just can't quite remember how to do it in Max...
You have to use gradients - I think that they are called Ramps in Max, and you should be able to set their input parameter as incidence angles :)
