View Full Version : Isolate angle of squash and stretch
Roger Eberhart 07-29-2005, 10:01 PM I'm trying to rig a bouncing ball. I've set up squash and stretch, which is pretty easy. What I'm trying to do now is allow the angle of the squash and stretch to change without rotating the ball. Any ideas?

I accomplished this on ijBall by seperating the deformation (squash/str on lattic) and the ball geometry. Then just had one control to rotate/orient the squash/stretch)

Pretty cool rig, although you still have to rotate the entire ball to change the squash and stretch angle. You can then counter-animate the ball rotation back the angle you want. I'm trying to figure out a way to avoid any counter-animating. Not so sure if there is a good solution to this one.
