And yes once Ive finnished he will be a checky character....


but Im not sure on how to rig the skeleton....and Ideas,

Not sure what you are trying to, but I would rig this apple for bouncing ball animation purpose without any bone. Find a (or more) non-linear defromer maybe. Change the pivot axis to the bottom and animate translations, rotation and scale.
