Hi,

I'm using Lightwave 8.3 on G5 DP 2.0/2.5 ram/128 graphic card/OSX 10.3.7 and the
application crashes every time I hit F9.
I have 1 character in the scene around 350.000 polys and a HDRI image for lightning.

Did anybody experience these problems?

Thanks,

Zarathustra

All kinds of things you can try:
Reboot
replace configs with backups
try with nothing else running
try F10
odd one - try F9 in another scene. Works? Ok, now back to the trouble scene and try F9 again (this has worked for me before, but I don't know why)

I'm currently using 8.3 on OS 10.4.2. I don't remember when 10.3.7 was.
Machine: g5 2x2.5, 3.5 gig ram.

Crazy question - what size image are you trying to render? If it's HUGE, it might be better to just F10.

I wonder what image viewer you're using from the render options.

Is the scene just that one object sitting there or do you have volumetrics/surface shaders/imagefilters added too?

The image size is 640x480; the character is fully textured (procedurals textures);radiosity is on for HDRI to work; antialias none;raytrace off.
By the way I have Tiger but I didn't upgrade yet.
