man chainsaws are sooo 1990s
here in the naughtys we abandon health and safty laws with big meaty circular saws with no gaurd,.

ha ha ha ha ha

this is just something i started to model last night on a whim its about 2500 polys but need to add more detail.

plus texs.

but first

does any one now what poly count most weapons would have in half life two?
and can you use lod objects if so how do you set the file up.?

here is the texrtured version, at present the map is 1024X1024 but its easily too detailed so i dont feel too bad about halfing that, to 512.

hey, dont quote me on this but off the top of my head i think u can have up to and around 4000 polys for a big weapon like a sniper in HL2....but im not sure..

no not quite, i was reading, for a single player mod a Character poly count can be up to 8500, on a multiplayer mod a character shud have 4500 - 5000 tops but its best to stay around the 3500 to 4000 with characters, weapons on a multiplayer mod shud be around 500 - 2000 tops

does anyone know about whetyher uu can use lods and if so how do you set them up.
