Greetings Humans! ^^

Ive recently been modelling that guy here
And im wondering if he looks better with an exeragated long torso, since the thingy that wrapps around him is pretty tight.

Still very wip but i appreciate all hints and crits youve got for me :D

Looks good so far although I can't really provide crit because i'm not entirely sure what you're aiming for.

good start. looks like the goon form an old movie Beast Master.

I dont think i would stretch the torso if the wrap is tight it would make his wast thinner and not elongate the upper body. just my thought..:thumbsup:

it's a good start so far, and yeah, you should keep the torso at a "normal" length. do you have a concept pic of some form?

i'm guessing your modeling after http://www.hawkprey.com/morpheus.htm it looksl ike it's a good start, torso will probably look fine how it is i don't think you need to exagerate it too much

ye nice one!

i actually modeled first a low poly of hawkpreys concept but decided then that i want it more human like almost hulk like, i did some crappy sketches which ill try to scan as soon i can find a scanner.

Solid progress so far Ingurum :thumbsup:...couple of things that stand out to me tho', but if it conflicts with the style your aiming then don't worry about it...

Proportion wise the torso looks too long, maybe worth shortening it a bit, also I would make the arms a bit longer aswell, the biceps and forearms...the size of the biceps look a bit out of sync with his build, could may well be worth adding volume to his torso or scaling down the size the arms?

Defiition wise....damn good job, although the shoulder muscles are a bit harsh where it's mean't to blend into the biceps and tricep muscle groups, this is a crit btw purely concerning silhouette...I won't comment on the legs cos' it looks as tho' at this stage the torso is more in the advanced stages than his lower half...

last thing tho'...weld those verts (torso to pelvis)....good progress...keep it up man...:)

ok long time no update ^^
i went on with him .. i think ill call him butcher ^^ he probably will be a mutated butcher.. the upper legs shall look like muscle structure, just without skin.

the hands have some polys for solid nails

HAHA...I remember this character a while back..it's been a long time...I like how it's progressed mesh wise...although I'm not sure about the thighs...are they some kind of trousers or are those his thigh muscles?...if it's the latter I think they could be toned down and made to look more like and and less defined for their respective muscle groups...Sweet...glad to see you've got into ZB..what an awesome tool to use...be careful of the sculpting at higher sub-d's...best way I can explain is to sculpt at a lower sub-d level and then work ya way up to a higher sub-d for finer details....think of it as a control cage I guess...all the same good to see this character back...:wip:

sorry for my poor english but what are the thighs again? ^^

he'll wear some kind of shorts.. well very shorts ^^ i think ill add there some planes with alpha to see where the trousers exploded.

i did a very quick try in zb .. to see how smooth i can make my 3dsmax mesh in zbrush before my comp crashes ^^ and wow i run out of memory 0o.

and i tried to make his stomach wrapp thing. it should be some kind of bandages but i dont know how to make them in zb without a seam. i smudged the seams for now but i gotta read more zb tuts ^^

i also tried some pelt mapping, works good for me but i also did some flatten mapping cause this is only a small test :S
