CGTalk - engraving text

Hi everybody, I am looking for a tutorial for creating spline text with an engraved appearance on stone ( like a grave stone), I have a good search around the forum and couldn't find anything,

Would simply extruding spline text and then using it to cut a Boolean not work for your situation?
