make particle emitter
activate hypervoxels and slap on a good setting preferably a sprite one
make a dissolve gradient texture based on particle age
(fade particles in and then out again about 10 frames later)
render full range (ie 0 to 60)
then render again but partial (ex 30-60)
now make an animation of your first render 0 to 29 combined second render 30-60
do the particles pop out/in on frame 30?
