hi,

curious if there's a way to align UVs in the UV editor? what i would like to do is select a row of UVs and align them vertically or horizontally. similar to how you can align vertices by using the "make planer" tool or the x, y, z align. can u do the same on UVs?

I come from a Maya background and have recently picked up 3ds max. in maya, there is an option to align the selected UVs either vertically or horizontally. I've been trying to find a way to do this in max 7, but haven't been successful. any help on this would be great. thanks!

Hi phreakmonkey, that feature is available in the PolyBoost tools for 3ds max: www.polyboost.com (http://www.polyboost.com/)

I believe it can also be found in a free script called unwraptools, wich is an addon interface to the standard UVW Unwrap. Do a search on www.scriptspot.com (http://www.scriptspot.com)

cheers,
CML

CML,

thanks!! that worked wonderfully, i used the script off of scriptspot.com. the version says 3ds max 5 but everything seemed to work fine for 3ds7.

thanks for the help and resources.
