View Full Version : How would You approach this?
Chris_Mackin 07-28-2005, 01:20 AM I have been asked to turn the blue Dark Blue Shape in this image into a 3d Model. How would you approach this problem using 3d studio Max 7?

This was likely made in Illustrator... the first thing I would do is ask for that file, to see if you can bring the path(s) into your 3d app.

Yeah, was made in illustrator, and I have the file:thumbsup: If I manage to get the paths into 3ds max, what would be my next move?

is it possible to bo a sweep nurbs, like you can in cinema 4d, In 3d studio max 7?
-Edit- Here is my work in progress.
To make the Spiral shape I imported the path from illustrator into max and then turne it into a renderable spline.
