View Full Version : bug when adjusting bevel extrusion ?
unclebob 07-27-2005, 01:31 AM I keep getting a very weird happening when I manually change the extrusion on a bevel of a cylinder.
for instance I start the extrusion at 3, inner offset at 3 and subdivision at 3, click apply and then click the "up arrow" to change it. it'll go 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 then 103.4. this happens even if I very slowly click the arrow and has happened 5 times.

can't off-hand replicate this. mac or pc? can you give a step by step--eg. what part of the cyl you're trying to bevel?

ok this is what I'm doing
cylinder 20 diameter, 20 height, cap segments 1
make editable;
select all segments on one end and melt so I have one segment
select this segment and bevel once with extrusion of 3, inner offset of 3, and subdivision of 3
hit new transformation and then that is when I click on the adjust arrow on the extrusion and that is when I get this very weird number jump.
this isn't the first time this has happened.. so thats why I'm wondering if something is amiss.
I have version 9.1 and it is PC.
thanks,
bob

I do appreciate y'all all trying this. it must be something I did somewhere along the line with the project I'm working on, even though I got it to happen several time. If I just load up a cylinder I can't get it to occur either. ** shrugs ** oh, well.
again, thanks for trying.
