This is from a book ive been trying to do for some time now, its about an animal uprising but hopefully not too similar to 'Animal Farm'. I realise I didnt do it after the topic was announced but I thought it fitted in quite well.

Edit: meant to put the accompanying text in:

"I say we all jump him" , cried Rupert the boar.
"We all rush straight at him, then he'll fall to the floor"
"Dont be a fool" , the old fresian said
"He has a gun hasn't he ? He will shoot all of us dead."
"He couldnt kill ALL of us , but we wont use that plan,
we must silence his wife first and THEN kill the old man."

Lol well most of you should know animal farm is about the rise of communism in russia, the pigs being the communists, this should help people with some sort of idea as this is running pretty dry, i would try but im not confident in my abbilities.

The Dagger: Ominous atmosphere and great use of perspective. Gandalf the Goose rules all egg layers! :bounce:

J_Grieve: Confident line work and elegant colors. Premediated Murder and farm animals is seldomly tried with children's books. But, kids love Grand Theft Auto, so why not. Have the rat drive a Taxi into the farmers bathroom while he's showering. :argh:

Oscen: Nicely understated forms and strong colors. The piggy banks make an outstanding contrast to the evil duck of darkness. :)

nuch: Nice line work! Satanic Sheep demand a red color scheme with orange shadows! :bounce:

csgirl: Sheep of the Damned! Good use of vibrant color. :buttrock:

Maybe if the topic were Guerilla Grandmother Geese on Army Alpacas , we'd have had more entries. Maybe someother day.

Mine, after three plus hours in Photoshop:

Chickens are carniverous, and if left unchecked, or worse, uncaged, will eat all other farm animals. :applause:

J_Grieve: Great picture. *runs off to warn the farmer about their plot to kill him* (unless he is an evil farmer that is)

Oscen: Nice work. The pigs look adorable.

nuch: Poor horse, I wouldn't want to switch places with him. That sheep with an axe looks great.

csgirl: I love your style. Those sheeps have a nice "don't mess with us" look on them.

ravioli_rancher: Good colours in this pic. Very athmospheric. (Mental note to self: don't eat eggs of uncaged chickens or they might take revenge on you.) Oh, and your comments are always a good read. :)

The daily topic seems to get harder and harder...

This topic reminds me of Charlotte's Web.

I had a hard time drawing farm animals...

ravioli_rancher - that's awesome. Love the colors.
kaylon - very clever and nicely rendered!
keko - I like the way you rendered the hay.
csgirl - those sheeps are creepy. Remind me of Village of the Damned.
J_Grieve and Oscen - very cute~
nuch - perhaps you can make it creepier by dropping red on a new multiply layer. Satanic animals...
The Dagger - very nice. I like the atmosphere and mood.
Cyanid - Scary bird but the cat is kinda cute(his eyes).

Here's mine. about 2 and a half hours. I don't like drawing farm animals...

TheDagger: Muchas gracias! Thanks for the encouragement and kind words. :bounce:

Keko: More Brilliant angles and characterizations. The expression of the Head Hawg is remarkable. Time worth while. :buttrock:

kaylon: Drats! Your barn's creepier and has a more hypnotic color scheme. And it only took 25 minutes. Perhaps blinding green and purple lights eminate off your workstation while you sketch. :argh: Awesome work.

Cyanid: Old McDonald had a Satanic Chicken Cult. Ee-iii, Eee-iii, Ohhhhh Gawwwwd! My head! They're plucking my head! Aighhh! :argh: Gorgeous, subtle tones and volume. ;)

pipichu: You really have no right to qualify your awesome sketches with disclaimers. :) Amazing posture and design of the farmer and livestock. Looks like Charlotte has quite a collection of porno stached away under her web. The bull's gesture is the epitome of a pervert. Must be a milk ad he's scratching with his hoof. :applause: Outstanding sketch. :bounce:

TheDagger - Thanks. I like your guide duck's posture, and it's good idea to have eyes for the far away characters. :wavey:

Oscen - great understanding of shape. No need for Shade&Shadow, and I can know which kind of animal they are.

Ravioli - Nice texture. What kind of brush did u use? :arteest:

Kaylon - I love your idea. Great way to tell the story of secret society without showing any member.

Pipichu - Why I feel that your cow has fur? One day u need to teach me how to draw in Photoshop.

Man....danielh68 that is so awesome!

Everytime I think 'animal farm' someone beats me to it (not that I was racing with it:rolleyes: )... and does a better job than I could do.... I think Ill just sit back and enjoy this one.

Hahah, yes, 'Dead Animals Society' :-) It started as a funny picture, but it was getting darker and darker with every brushstroke, and against my will... :-/
