Export out of lw as a dxf
or
try the beaverproject.com to get a
free lw importer.

Will that work with Maya 4.0????

It says it only supports 2.5 and 3.0

I don't have Lightwave, however I need to import a Lightwave object. beaverproject.com only has an email link on it so no dice there either.

Anyone else got any clues.

Let me know please....

Thanks,
Fudge

Both LWs OBJ and DXF exporters work ok, some glitches especially where UVs are invloved and sometimes if the object is extremely large you can get some real flakey results but generally it works.

Thats all good and well, but I need to be able to import an *.LWO.

I am well aware that it is possible to import DXF's and OBJ's into Maya as those are standard import modules.

So if there is any confusion, what I need in plain engilsh is a Lightwave Object importer for Maya 4.0.

Thanks...
