View Full Version : How to Rec from Tape on to Mini DV

To whom might know,

I have a bunch of music Videos on VHS that I need on the Mini Dv yet when I reverse the process I get nothing on the Mini DV. Any ideas ? Now the thing that is confusing me is that if i could Rec from my Mini Dv to VHS, I should be able to Rec from the VHS on to the MiniDV.

Heres what I do:
I hook up the RCA cables from my VCR into my MiniDv Hit play on the VCR and REC on the MiniDV Camera.

P4 2.8
1.5 gigs of Ram
80 gig Hard Drive + 160 gig usb 2.0 Seagate external HD
Matrox Rt/ 10 with breakout Video box
Premeir Pro 1.5.1
Cannon ZR 100 (I use this to rec/ capture/ export)
Panasonic 3CCD DVX 100a 24p (shooting Camera)

Most cameras have an option in the menu somewhere that you need to find, or it's a press 'this button with this button' type thing.

If you have a manual you should be able to find it. Also, some cameras may only allow this through the s-video plug, but that could be rare.
