I think you have to be in 1:1 view. (Means not zoomed in or out).

Can't check it right now though.

how do i get the IPR to update automatically in realtime? I have Auto Render checked...but that does not seem to do anything

you have to drag-select a region in renderview, and only this region will be updated!

that is what blusters me...i did that...n nothing...i change materail color and nothing!!

Do you have raytracing on? The ipr throws an error when you do but still renders, it just doesn't update. If you have the command line hidden you might miss this.

i got the interface mixxed up....i always used the render region when selecting an area to update
