If they'd agree to biomechanical enchancements, the armed forces might reconsider.
Anyhow,
doomdragon: Great concept. Uncle Sam should've been more specific.
Lord-G: Excellent start on the armored perambulator, though if the rubber tread breaks, the passenger will become the projectile. :buttrock:
flamingseaturtle: Looks like that enlistee is showing a little too much cleavage. Especially for her age. Perhaps all the recruiters have run away, thus her need to shout.
DjimiFett: Holey Commando! That's one tough mutha. Awesome shading and contrast. The magnification and reflection on the skin from the glasses is amazing.
Tris3d: Practically a Zombie, so she probably has a better chance at getting her way.
vikkie: She can use her canker mole as a grenade. :D Nice watercolor effect and confident lines.
TheDagger: Awesome Action Figure -- GIDroopy with Pump Action Rifle, and steerable Cannon.
Kaylon: Incredible line work and composition. The perspective on the guns and flag is really glorious. And all in under two hours. Wow. :bounce:  :applause:
Yikes.

Great work by everyone... I hope things with my work settle down soon so I can take some time again to participate... but in the meantime I love seeing everyone's entries! Keep up the great work!

Oscen, Don Diego, Cyanid: Great series of sketches. The elderly commando has been underepresented in the art world for too long. Thank goodness that's been remedied in this thread. :buttrock:
3db2, Keko, and danielh68:
If you guys were GI grandmas, you'd take over the world.
For now, though, guess you'll have to settle for kicking shanks in the Daily Sketch.
Since CGTalk is becoming a Tutorial Typhoon, Please please please inundate us with you 2d Photoshop tips and tricks, and knowledge of perspective and color.
Either that or do three sketches a day. :p :applause: Your works are immensely inspiring.

nuch: Cannible Platoon Grannies From Texas seems like a fine idea for a Rob Zombie Film. And you've already made the poster. :bounce:
pipchu: Despite your modesty, your sketch is brilliant. And you only spent 90 minutes. Immensley inspiring work. If you have not already, you should learn Illustrator and concoct some vector masterpieces. Your nack for precise shapes and volume would translate nicely into that style. Fine work, pipichu! :applause: :buttrock:
xitemx: You make mutually assured destruction seem happy. Orange and Yellow mushroom clouds make for beautiful designs, despite all the burning flesh and vaporized combatants.

Thanks for the kind word, ravioli:). I like yours, too. How do you pick your colors? I usually pick mine from the swatches in photoshop, making the sketches look the same...
xitemx - great stuff as usual. Much more simpler than your usual detailed style.
keko -
nuch - I like the drawing. Would've been nice if it's full colored.

pipichi: I use the HSB color slider panel in photoshop (or the Painter color triangle). When the colors come out too dang muddy, I use Brightness/Contrast, Curves, Levels, and the Hue Saturaton Lightness Adjusters. And if I'm really desparate, I'll throw down a Render>Lighting filter on the whole can of beans, which unifies all colors in the sketch with a single "toner" color. Olive, or an Orange Yellow spotlight are my preference.
Which is why I'm so dang slow with these sketches. Under two hours. Under two hours, conflabulated tarnation!

His work might be banned overseas, so please take caution. :)
createmai: Fancy use of blocked color. Beutiful mosaic tile effect. :buttrock:
pipichu: And now you go vectorized with pixels. You stylistic choices always impress. Awesome work. :applause:
