Hi!
Shame on me! Its really now a while, that I work with Maya, but somehow I never had this Problem before: I tried to Texture a Polygonal Object with two Textures, the whole Object should get one, and a small part should get the other. I tried to do this with UV-Sets, but in Relationship-Editor I only get the one Material displayed, that is already assigned to the Object. I cant get two Materials in there.
For example, how can I texture a cube, that it looks like a dice. I want to create 6 Materials each with a different number, an assign these on each face of the dice. How do I achieve this?
Thanks in advance...

select the faces and right klick on the material - assigne material to selection.
creating selection sets first would be a good idea.
