View Full Version : Problem with importing .lwo-files

Hi all.

I'm trying to import a terrain i made in Terragen, and was exported as a Lightwave Object (lwo-file), but when I import it, all that is imported is a big black box (http://dev.beyond-sanity.com/importProblem.png). I have no idea how to make the box turn into an editable terrain. Anyone who can help?

As the .LWO export is limited to a terrain size of 256x256 most people go about it another way. I regularly use 2048x2048 Terragen terrains in Vue Infinite and use Worldmachine ($25 to register) to save the .TER as a .TGA file. The detail is good and apart from having to adjust the height it works very well once in Vue. From there its very easy to add some textures and vegetation and then export the scene to Lightwave.
