Hey great start !
The 2d texture mapping works out well...
Master Shake's upper brim is a bit too wide I'd say.
Good luck with it!

Heh,
Turn on the shadows.
Give the tomato(?) some specularity. And if it is a tomato, why itīs so bumpy? I think it should be smooth.
You could model the tiles in the background. The image map is too low res, so modeled tiles would look better. And it should not be too hard to do.
Keep on practising.

hi.. i just started 3dmax too.
first of all, if you do not have a UVW modifier on the brick wall, do that now, and change the tile settings, or transform the gizmo (by expanding UVW modifier, and using the scale tool, on the "gizmo" that should show up as an orange plane).
Then for frylock, make sure the front and back segments have like 10 segments across and going down.. then use a softselection (in the edit poly modifier i think) and pull just the middle of each out.. and it will give you a nice curved effect... then add some specular highlights to his body)..
add the same highlights to shake's straw.
as a newbie myself I may be able to help you with rookie mistakes, as i make more than a few everyday.

I would make the fry guy less boxy.

i think frylock's fries should be more rectangular, the look like round fries...y'know? love the idea, and love the show.
