Nice model.

I love the way concepts from your head can evolve into something like this using such an intuitive modeller as LW.

cheers for the reply..

in fact the lady driver is an oldish model i just added for extra eye candy but the bike itself wasnt so hard so far..

it all started from a shape i had in mind and just grew... its one fo those models u dont want to stop tweaking and modelling..

will definatley be textured and scened !

Great model man, I love it. If you wouldnt mind me asking, how did you do the tires? Displacement map or modeled in details? Also how did you make the dust scene? Still new so I am trying to learn as much as I can from great pieces like this.

the tyres were basically just bumped mapped and diffuse mapped with hand painted textures..

the dust scene - look up fromt projection mapping :-)

The buggy looks great! :)

Can you tell me how you rendered the textured wireframe model in LW?

Keep up the good work!

Everything looks awesome except the tyre texture. I don't know what it is, but they look kinda brittle right now and don't have a soft rubber look.

It possibly has to do with both the bump and spec highlights. Maybe try a value of 4.0 in texture AA of the tyre bump or something. Also, I've linked a plugin by that guy who made pg_sabre which does 2 layer specular highlights with a simply layout and cool options (get spec colour from light, surface, or specified colour etc etc) that may be of use. It's no longer available as he disappeared and beats BRDF's weird and whacky ways.

What kind of light setup are you using? HDR/BG radiosity?

that thing is the craziest,dude...i wish i could do that...............How could you have gotten all that detail next to the wheels........you got to tell me what kind of modelling tech you used...sorry im a noob..........oh yeah the chic is hot...i know you shes an older model.but still..NICE

I made this crappy soft-as-hell rubber tyre test.

http://www.dukecg.net/tyreTest_A.jpg

I think the key bits are the soft specular, normal displacement as opposed to bump, and definately the dented procedural bump which helps makes those little rubber chunks that have worn off.
