I need some help on this one guys, I have a friend who wants me to model a dog for his short animation. the thing is I don't know where to get the perspective shots from. Also I would really love some help finding the mocap files for the dog walk cycle and a jump because he wants it to walk and then jump through a film real. Any suggestions I am start a crappy model right now but it can keep me working untill I find somthing else.

I haven't seen much in the way of Dog mocaps running around, but Cactus Dan has a pretty nice Dog Rig for CD IK-Tools. It should make animating a walk cycle from Muybridge's photos pretty easy.

CD's site for plugins: http://www.cactus3d.com/Plugins.html

Cheers!

P.S. If you want more mocap or CA-Tool support in C4D for future releases let them know here: http://maxon.net/pages/support/suggestions_e.html

is there anything free? I don't really have any extra money to spend on software, since food comes first. But also would you know any places to get images to use to model it?

http://roger.rosa.free.fr/resources/html/tutorials/xsi/model/labrador/labrador_01.htm

The tutorial is for XSI, but shouldn´t be a problem.

As for ref material I´m pretty sure google will come up with something usefull.

Did you have a look at the tutorial? He only uses a side view - so could you. And yes, I´ve modelled several dogs - why?

wow that is very nice setup you have there. Does it animate well? I wish there where mocaps for dogs walking and jumping and such then I could just drop them in MB5 keyframe it together and be done with it.

Have you looked at http://www.rhinohouse.com (http://www.rhinohouse.com/) they have some pretty cool stuff. One of the DVDs has a prairie dog in the bonus section, I think its volume 1.
