Hey folks, I'm in Singapore for a while, so I figured I'd dangle a carrot and see who bites. :)

MEETING PLACE: City Hall MRT, at the Station Control Booth
MEETING DAY: Saturday, July 23rd
MEETING TIME: 1:00pm
CONTACT PERSON: Teck Lee Tan (teck@lotekk.com)
MEETING NOTES: I will be carrying a grey messenger bag with a bright yellow Pikachu (http://images.google.com/images?q=pikachu&hl=en&lr=&sa=N&tab=wi) hanging off of it, and a black A4 sketchbook.

Drop me an email or PM to let me know if you're coming so I know how many people (if any :p) to wait for. I just got into town, so I don't have a cellphone number yet, so that'll be the only way to contact me. Hope to see at least a couple people there. :)

It occurred to me today as I was taking the train, that I haven't been back long enough to know what the crowds will be like at the scheduled time. Assuming I actually get any interest, could someone let me know if the trains will be overly crowded on Saturday at 1pm? And if so, any suggestions on a good time to schedule this?

Does this mean we have to schlepp ALL the way to Singapore just to hang out on the subway with you and them dang "Orientals"? :scream: Ha ha, "Orientals", it gets me every time *wipes tear* ~ will they never learn? ;)

i haven't been taking the train much for nearly 2 years or so now but from my backdated knowledge i can tell you that it will be crowded the entire Sat, especially if you're in the central areas. i'm assuming you're free to do this only on weekends so i suggest going to the outskirt stations.

hahaha this actually kinda sounds interesting, but say there is like 20ppl that joined. Do we all sit in the same cart and wait for victims? and when they come in and notice 20ppl holding their pencils up for quick measure...u think their gonna notice?? :P haha just curious but interested none the less

Anybody out there? :P

I just wanted to get the word out that I've put together a Subway Sketching Section (http://www.imaginismstudios.com/sketchgroupsblog.html)on my site where I plan to collect and show work from sketch groups all over. Come check it out! If you want me to also post your group's work on my site, just email the files to sketchgroups@imaginismstudios.com (sketchgroups@imaginismstudios.com)! :)

(Also, in response to the previous question: we've often had days in Toronto where there were more sketchers than riders on the subway! In that case, we tended to just draw each other! The point isn't the subject, it's just that you constantly work on your art! :) )
