Rafael Hrdz 10-27-2002, 08:11 PM I did this for a contest a couple of months ago. It's finished but I would really like to know what I got right and wrong. Any comments would be very apreciated.

Looking good. Though the neck seems exceedingly long.
Personally I'd go for a more muddy brownish green with more imperfections in it, but that's personal taste I guess.

Thanks for the comment Eudaimic. You are right the neck is kind of long. For some reason I didn't see that. I was also hoping for some comments on composition and color choice.

Mmm, it's nice, if u want some commect on ur colors, I have to say ur contrast is a bit too big, too shiny, it blinds the viewer a bit
But nice piece of art m8

On colours eh? :)
Well personally, and this is coming from a guy who likes his stuff in monochrome and desaturated 95% of the time, I think the colors are too saturated. Tone them down a bit, make the background stay in the background, it seems to force its way into the foreground at the moment.

I wanted to give this image a painted sort of look (I'm not sure if I succeeded on this). That is why the contrast and color saturation are high. Nevertheless, I'll try your suggestions and see if I can improve it. I see what you mean about the background Eudamic. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for your input guys.
