View Full Version : copying Wieghting/enveloping

Greetings.
I am working on a Football game prototype.

How can I take the envelope wieghting of one football player and copy it to the mesh of another?

They have the same bones (only slight proportional changes) and the meshes have the same amount of geometry.

Please help, the solution would solve having to spend lots of time weighting 10 different characters.

If you go to XSI Net under Animation and then go to the Rigging section, Envelope Copy Weights should be the first script in the list.

I used it for the first time last week, and it's been a life saver. You sometimes need to do a bit of tweaking, but it gets you 99% of the way there.
