View Full Version : Editable Poly _ Question (LW?)

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this problem.
In Lightwave you have Bandsaw a very nice tool if you ask me.

Since i recently started with max i tried some of the modeling techniques from lightwave.
I did a search for bandsaw plugins etc and found a simular thingy for max.
The result I achieved was the same if I used the Connect option in editable poly.
The only problem i got left is the way to move my edges from their averaged center ...
(kinda like away from each other)

Would have to be pretty easy but i cant seem to find it.
Any ideas?

download the cs Polytools and use the slide of them :)

you can also use scale command to move the edges away from each other ('use selection center' enabled) in vertex or edge mode.

yes i guess he did in that image, but what when you want to do that in 3 dimension not only 1 ;)

Seems like Bandsaw is really very popular among Lightwave users.
