I think cg smurfs would work best in a first-person shooter. There'd be realtime dynamics so when each smurf spatters the blue stuff drips off the walls. You'd need a powerful weapon, that could shoot through three or four smurfs in a single blast, but they keep coming at you like zombies two apples high.

Smurfing companies always trying to flip a smurfing coin.
Maybe Hollywood should smurf some new ideas and stop resmurfing old ones?

Ah well, who smurfing gives a smurf.

I'll be smurfed. I never thought a cg feature would smurf smurfs! That is extra smurf.

To be honest:

Three smurfing films about smurfs? That might be smurfing annoying. :P

HOW the smurf can anyone bash the smurfs!? What the smurf. Seems I'm not the only smurf who wondered why the smurf dvd's are being released.

But soon there will be a whole new Smurfs movie!

Seems like the ones complaining already are Brainy Smurfs.

Oh NOO! The most funny thing about them is, that they (kind of) are no individuals. In the years whem I read the original comicbooks as a child, all smurfs even had only one name: "smurf", and only they know the difference.

the smurfs are somehow the only true communists/hippies that have existed.

And my Grandma rejected to read them for me, because the language was too smurfy.

(for legal reasons..>) Apparently...
the smurf are nazis.

it all came out when their creator died. he was a KKK type person. just look at the clues, the female smurf has blond hair. and the leader has a red wizards hat, just like the grand wizards of the kkk wear. i thinks theirs more but i don't know enuff about it.

But there it was a Belgian company that would make the 3d movie.
Is this a different project?

Wasn't there an urban legend where the creator got the idea when he was "on" something? Every house turned into mushrooms and people were all blue.

And I did here that the Smurfs represented Marxism. Every character had a specific workers world led by the "red father" Papa Smurf. And like Lenin and Stalin, he has a beard.

as many succesful characters, the smurfs appeared first as side characters in a fantasy comic series (called "johan and pfiffikus" in german) by peyo, the creator of the smurfs. Kids liked them so much, that they got their own series.

Both are linked ... but it is not in the way that could be interpreted from the previous press release. The Belgian studio is not actually "making" the movie.

They're probably gonna 'modernize' the smurfs a bit...

They might try to appeal to the GTA crowd....

I can see it now....

Brainy Smurf: Hiya Street Smurf! How are you today?
Street Smurf: Get outta my m************g face you punkass dweeb! *fires a few shots from his glock*
Brainy Smurf: Waaah! I'm telling papa!
Street Smurf: Yeah, go get him; I'll pop a cap in his blue ass too!

:D

Another thing I've always wondered; all the Smurfs are apparently the children of Papa Smurf, and there is no mother, just the dad and this single generation. However, there's also BABY Smurf, who was introduced with no explanation of a mother. This implies one of three things:

A) Baby Smurf was found in the wilderness and adopted.
B) Baby Smurf was born right before Mama Smurf vanished and just does not age.
C) Smurfette is the only 'lady Smurf,' so does this mean she is mother of Baby Smurf? Baby Smurf still calls Papa Smurf 'Papa' as well, so this is either just an honorific, or Papa Smurf has been sowin' seeds in his own turf, if you catch my drift....

Wow, I think too much....
:D
