Unfortunately, I'm using Maya myself so I cannot speak of Max, but what you need (in terms of a Maya user) is to adjust perfectly the UV map and export the UV snapshot file, preferably a *.tga one, which will have the contourlines for your textures.
Then you can visit this site (http://www.simplymaya.com/movie_pages/category.mhtml?cat_id=23) and download the texture basics video tutorial (it's free). It should give you the basic idea on how are those things done in Photoshop.
P.S. Lovely model, by the way, simple but stylish. Would love to see it finished.

Just one more thing, when i do the texture in PSD, do I save in .jpg or?

This may be stating the obvious, but you did see that Wiro (the guy who did the robot) posted a tutorial on his site discussing how he did that sort of effect, right?

Yes I did, but I dont really understand that tutorial, I have been trying to do as him but for me he "jumps" over importent things, well i dont know how to say really but as simple as this, that tutorial was to strange for me.
