Title: The Hamit
Name: Jayden Bardozia
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop

been a lurker for a while...here goes!

Randomly inspired sketch from my very full sketchbook during my month long trek in Europe. Colored this in a cafe after having sat in a bus for 6 hours watching old black and white films. evidently they're quite popular here. This particular one was inspired by the little character blocks they do in the films. The caption for this one was:

"The Hamit! Child of the waterfront, refuses to go hungry! Do anything you can!"

It proceeded to show the heroine of the film, on a dock, cutting away some bananas and throwing it to the starving children of the docks ^_^;;; i figured...oooh...so i rehashed it into this feminine beauty above. crits are welcome!

I really like this character. The figure and clothes are looking good. I would like the face to be worked over and have as much detail as the rest of the figure. I'm not sure about the skull and cross bones on the scarf. I am not familiar with your story line so it might be appropriate. I would really like to see you develope this piece.

Thanks Euphrosyne! Yeah, i usually have trouble when it comes to coloring the face, so i've to keep erasing and retrying it over and over again. haha and on the skull and cross bones, it was more of a last minute joke added in, probably going to replace it with some sort of scarf patterning. again, thanks for the crit ^_^
